Chia Tai Elevates Pest Inspection Standards with Exceptional Laboratory Certified by Department of Agriculture

Bangkok 18 December 2023 - Chia Tai Seed by Chia Tai Company Limited, Thailand’s leading innovative agricultural company, has obtained certification for its "Pest Inspection Laboratory from Department of Agriculture”. In this regard, Mr. Manas Chiaravanond, Chief Executive Officer, represented the company to receive the certificate from Mr. Rapeepat Chansriwong, Director-General of Department of Agriculture, in the Pest Inspection Laboratory Certificate Presentation Ceremony hosted at Chia Tai Company Limited (Omnoi), Samut Sakhon province.

 

Chia Tai’s Pest Inspection Laboratory (Omnoi) has undergone thorough evaluation by Department of Agriculture (DOA) committee, confirming that it possesses the necessary qualifications and fulfills the criteria, methods, and conditions required to be recognized as a competent pest inspection facility. Chia Tai Seed can conduct pest inspection on seeds, enabling the seeds operators to request the issuance of phytosanitary certificates for the export of various seeds abroad. This involves examining Acidovorax Citrulli in watermelon, cucumber, pumpkin, melon, cantaloupe, and squash seeds, along with inspecting Tomato Brown Rugose Fruit Virus (ToBRFV) in tomato and chili seeds. In the future, this pest inspection facility aims to establish a channel to offer inspection services to external organizations.
