Bangkok, 25 September 2020 - Mr. Manas Chiaravanond, Chief Executive Officer of Chia Tai Company Limited, Thailand’s leading innovative agricultural company, joins forces to bolster the nation's food security by supporting the second phase of "Next-door fridges for coping with COVID-19" project. Hosted by Department of Agricultural Extension, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the project is a continuous effort that provides farmers and general public with an opportunity to register to obtain garden vegetable seeds which they can plant and eat for better health and wellbeing, while partly saving household expenses during the COVID-19 situation. On this occasion, Chia Tai takes an active part in the second phase of the initiative to ensure that the support covers all farmers and general public at large more extensively. In doing so, the company contributes 500,000 packets of various types of seeds that are popular, takes a short time to grow and are easy to take care of, for example Chinese kale, Chinese convolvulus, Bird chili and Basil. Moreover, the company offers insightful knowledge and information on vegetables and planting instructions in conjunction with the support.
